St. John Fisher College Named 2022-2023 College of Distinction
St. John Fisher College has been recognized for its honorable commitment to engaged, hands-on education by Colleges of Distinction, a guide for college-bound students.
selection process comprises a sequence of in-depth research and detailed interviews with the schools, accepting only those that adhere to the guide鈥檚 Four Distinctions: Engaged Students, Great Teaching, Vibrant Community, and Successful Outcomes. These principles are all informed by the High-Impact Practices to prioritize the ways that institutions enable students to have a fulfilling, individualized college experience.

Rooney, president of the College. 鈥淲e are grateful to once again earn the College of Distinction recognition and for the privilege to serve our students as they achieve their academic goals.鈥�
In addition to earning the honor of a College of Distinction, Fisher received specialized recognition in business, education, and nursing. These accolades were borne out of a need for college curricula that are comprehensive not only in course material, but also in practical- and soft-skills development. Fisher has met these needs with a blend of liberal arts education, program-specific training, and abundant opportunities for real-world application. Fisher was also recognized for its Career Development efforts.
