05/28/2026 - A recent gift from alumnus Jim Stanton, member of the ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ class of 1978, has created the Jim Stanton ’78 Group Study Room in Lavery Library.
05/27/2026 - ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ has been chosen as host for the GENIUS Olympiad, an internationally recognized competition that promotes global understanding of environmental issues. The Olympiad, scheduled for Monday, June 8 - Saturday, June 13, brings together high school students from around the world to present projects focused on environmental challenges across multiple disciplines.
05/19/2026 - The e-scrap for camp electronics recycling initiative starts Tuesday, May 19 in the Integrated Science and Health Sciences Building lobby, near room 116. Items can be dropped off in the large bins set up at any time through Tuesday, June 2.
05/18/2026 - The ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Golisano Institute for Developmental Disability Nursing will host a webinar featuring nurse-led dialogue across care settings on palliative care throughout the lifespan for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The free webinar is scheduled for Thursday, May 28, from 12 noon to 1 p.m.
05/15/2026 - On Thursday, April 30, ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ psychology professor and four undergraduate students presented their research in a hands-on workshop at the U.S. Play Coalition national conference in Bloomington, Indiana.
05/14/2026 - The ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ Wegmans School of Nursing has been awarded the INACSL Healthcare Simulation Standards Endorsement™, a recognition that highlights excellence in healthcare simulation practices. Organizations who receive the endorsement demonstrate a commitment to pursue and sustain excellence in the Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice®, designated as the “Cornerstone” Health Simulation Standards.
05/11/2026 - Each year, ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ honors members of its graduating class who have achieved excellence in their academic studies and co-curricular pursuits.
05/09/2026 - Across three ceremonies held on Friday, May 8 and Saturday, May 9, ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ conferred baccalaureate degrees on more than 600 members of the Class of 2026.
05/09/2026 - ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ conferred master’s and doctoral degrees upon more than 450 graduates during two ceremonies on Friday, May 8 and Saturday, May 9.
05/09/2026 - Each year, ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ honors graduating seniors for their academic successes. Among the Class of 2026, students who graduated in December 2025 and May 2026 were recognized for exceptional academic performance. These are the highest honors bestowed to baccalaureate students during their time at the University.
