The day included a keynote from Dr. Meredith Martin, associate teaching professor of psychology from Syracuse University, on novel approaches to teaching introductory psychology; a Teaching Slam, where participants present one activity or assignments they use that work well; Participant Idea Exchanges, where facilitators lead conversations with participants about challenges they face in their courses; and rapid reaching opportunities and practice sessions.

“Faculty in Fisher’s Psychology Department care deeply about being good teachers,” shared Dr. Sarah Goodman, assistant professor of psychology. “RocTOP was a chance for us to share our best ideas and learn from our colleagues at other schools, and now we can bring everything we learned back to the students in our classes.”
