“Blossoms & Beverages” Next Event for Women in Family Business Initiative
This spring, the School of Business at 蜜桃影像 will host its second Women in Family Business networking event. Blossoms & Beverages will bring together women from multigenerational firms to promote discussions about their roles in family businesses. The event runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, at Kittelberger Florist & Gifts (263 North Ave, Webster, NY).
鈥淲e learned from our first women鈥檚 wine event last fall that there is a great desire for women in family businesses to come together, because they have so much in common and yet they鈥檙e very different,鈥 said Dr. Carol Wittmeyer, interim dean of the School of Business. 鈥淭his is a wonderful opportunity to continue those conversations and generate new ones.鈥
Holly Rund, 4th generation, manager at Kittelberger Florist & Gifts, will provide an overview of her family firm and guide guests through a build-your-own bouquet workshop. Drinks for the evening will be from women-owned family business Pittsford Wine & Spirits and food will be provided by Pub 235.
鈥淥ur last event left us all very excited to get together again. The key is to keep these events fresh and I鈥檓 very pleased that we鈥檝e designed a creative experience for our group to learn something new, while also learning about Holly鈥檚 family business,鈥 said Teagan White 鈥19, director of onboarding and community engagement at JN White, and a member of the Women in Family Business committee.
Tickets for the event are $50 per person (age 21 and older, please) and can be purchased by Thursday, March 9. For more information, call the Office of the Dean of the School of Business at (585) 385-8446.
