St. John Fisher College will host Fresh Check Day, a concept created by The Jordan Porco Foundation, to bring the whole campus community together to “check-in” on the mental health and wellness of Fisher students.
Fresh Check Day, which will run from 1 to 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 22, in LeChase Commons (rain location is the tent located outside of the Golisano Gateway Midlevel), will transform campus into an expo-like atmosphere to bring together interactive exhibits combined with food, prizes, and giveaways. Booths will feature peer-to-peer messaging in a positive, community-focused setting. This year’s event will also include therapy animals and chances to win a Kindle Fire 7 by visiting the booths and entering a visit card into a raffle.
The free event is organized by the Office of Student Engagement and Inclusion, the Peer Support Team, student clubs and organizations, and representatives of The Jordan Porco Foundation.
