Countdown to Commencement 2021: Riley Moscicki
The final member of the Class of 2021 to be featured in the “Countdown to Commencement series” is media and communication major, Riley Moscicki.
A transfer student from Monroe Community College, Moscicki came to 蜜桃影像 for the media and communication program. She credits her tour guide for convincing her to choose Fisher, after being on tour and learning all that the department offered, including the PRIMA Group and Public Relations Student Society of America. She said she wanted to join a campus that felt like a family, and when the tour concluded, she knew right away that Fisher was her only option.
In her time at Fisher, she has jumped right into both PRIMA and PRSSA, gaining practical experience working on behalf of a variety of clients and taking advantage of networking opportunities.
In addition, she has served as the public relations writing intern for the Office of Marketing and Communications during her final semester. In that role, she has conducted interviews and authored articles for College News Highlights and other campus publications.
Immediately after graduation, she will begin a prestigious fellowship with the American Association of Advertising Agencies Foundation (4 A鈥檚 Foundation) Multicultural Advertising Intern Program (MAIP), a 22-week talent development program for communications students of color. Moscicki was chosen by agency partner Hearst Magazines, one of the world鈥檚 largest publishers of monthly magazines including Elle Magazine and Harper鈥檚 Bazaar, for the position. She is one of about 300 communications students from across the country participating in the program, and will be spending her summer working out of Hearst鈥檚 New York City Office remotely.
鈥淔isher has done a really great job of developing me personally and professionally. If it wasn't for my time at Fisher with the Media and Communication Department, I don鈥檛 think my dreams of joining a really big PR agency outside of Rochester would be a reality, but I truly believe within the next five years, that will become a reality,鈥 said Moscicki.
