04/28/2025 - Rebecca Sienkiewicz, a nursing major, is this week’s featured senior in the “Countdown to Commencement” series. She was nominated by Tiffany Nicholas, associate director of student engagement and leadership.
04/21/2025 - ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ will bestow four President’s Medals during its 71st Commencement celebrations in May.
04/11/2025 - The next student featured is Emma Kane. A committed and hardworking student, she is pursuing an education in nursing and is the co-captain of the rowing team, she is also a member of the Honors Program. Kane was nominated by Jon Covney, head coach of women's rowing.
04/08/2025 - ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ hosted its 9th annual Out of the Darkness campus walk on Sunday, April 6, to support the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). The University raised a current total of $19,477 for the AFSP, exceeding the original fundraising goal of $10,000.
04/08/2025 - The M.S. in Nursing program in the Wegmans School of Nursing at ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ was ranked No. 34 the nation, according to the annual U.S. News and World Report’s Best Grad Schools ranking.
04/02/2025 - Assistant professors from ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ’s Wegmans School of Nursing Dr. Desiree’ M. Branson, former president of The Nurse Practitioner Association (NPA), and Dr. Henry Moscicki, NPA President-Elect, are in pursuit of breaking down barriers in support of nurse practitioners in New York State.
03/21/2025 - “Edge of the cliff” is often used as a metaphor for a situation that has suddenly taken a dangerous turn. It suggests uncertainty of some sort, and can lead to success or failure depending on what happens next. For Dr. Rob Rice, a professor and chair of the mental health counseling program in the Wegmans School of Nursing, this metaphor came to life when he found himself on a cliff ledge with his dog, Walter, in 2019.
03/20/2025 - Registration is now open for the 2025 Fisher Showcase, an event that features the creative and scholarly works of University students, faculty, and staff.
03/18/2025 - Dr. Holly Brown, executive director of the Golisano Institute for Developmental Disability Nursing, will showcase the work of the Institute.
